Stuck Tractor-Trailer Leads To Road Closures In Westport
A busy area road was temporarily shut down on Sunday night when a tractor-trailer got stuck in the roadway. The tractor-trailer was making a turn onto Saugatuck Avenue off of Sunrise Road in Westport at approximately 7:30 p.m., when the driver got stuck, leading to a temporary road closure as crews unloaded the cargo from the back of the truck. There were no injuries reported, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The road was reopened to traffic shortly thereafter

Expect Delays: I-95 Lane Closures Underway As Monthslong Project Starts
Lane closures for pavement and roadway inspections on I-95 started on Sunday, July 1, the Connecticut Department of Transportation said.The intermittent nightly closures, in both directions, will be in Greenwich and Stamford and continue until Nov. 15. Motorists are advised that a portion of the Hutchinson River Parkway is expected to be closed over the weekend. Exit 16 ramps along Interstate-95 will be closed on Monday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the Norwalk Memorial Day Parade. The Norwalk Police Department announced the temporary road closure. Crash Damaging Pole Causes Road Closure In Stamford
Motorists should take note that a roadway in Stamford remains closed Monday morning following a traffic crash that damaged a power pole, according to Stamford Police. Power company employees are replacing the pole on Pepper Ridge at Vine Road that was smashed during the crash around 8 p.m. Sunday, police said. Police said Pepper Ridge Road will remain closed until the repairs are complete, and did not have an exact time estimate. Officers did not have information on the crash, or if anyone was injured.
