Downed Lines Disrupt Amtrak, NJ Transit Service Between NJ, Penn Station
It's certainly not convenient. Amtrak and NJ Transit customers were livid over service disruptions between Penn Station and Newark due to downed power lines blocking the tracks on Wednesday evening, May 22. In a statement posted to X, Amtrak said service was stopped at 5:36 p.m. with no estimation of restoration. As of 10 p.m., widespread delays were being reported by Amtrak. A 45-year-old man from Willingboro was killed in a drive-by shooting outside a social club, authorities said. The shooting occurred around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 at the Diamond Dogz social club in the first block of John F. Kennedy Way, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Acting Public Safety Director Captain Ian Bucs. A Howell Township family lost their home and pets in a "devastating" house fire, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page said the Glowzenski family's home of more than 30 years was destroyed in the fire on Tuesday, May 21. Pickup Truck Driver Killed In Collision With Garbage Truck In South Jersey
A 53-year-old pickup truck driver from Cherry Hill was killed after a collision with a garbage truck in Gloucester County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about noon on Tuesday, May 21 at Lambs and Glassboro roads in Mantua, police said. The front of the garbage truck struck the driver's side door of the Ram pickup, police said. The victim's name had not been released. The garbage truck driver was not hurt.

Four men and two teens were arrested in Atlantic City, five of whom were accused of selling heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, authorities said.
