Dutchess County Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck
A 39-year-old Hudson Valley man was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while standing on a roadway in Connecticut. The crash occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on I-91 north of the Exit 46 on-ramp in Enfield. According to the Connecticut State Police, Dutchess County resident TJ Jennings of Hopewell Junction was standing in the highway's right lane when struck by the truck. The truck came to a stop on the right shoulder, state police said. State Police said Jennings sustained injuries "not compatible with life" and was pronounced dead at the scene. …

4 Hudson Valley Teens Face Hate Crime Charges For Anti-Semitic Slurs, Firing Pellet Gun
Five Hudson Valley teens have been charged with hate crimes for allegedly yelling anti-Semitic slurs and shooting a pellet gun at individuals. The incidents occurred in Rockland County in Ramapo on two dates in April. According to Det. Sgt. Man Driving Stolen Car Rams Deputy's Patrol Vehicle On Area Highway, Police Say
An attempted traffic stop on a highway in the region ended with a deputy’s patrol car rammed and the alleged culprit in handcuffs. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, on I-87 in Clifton Park. Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-84 In Kent
A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced. The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After hitting the tree, the vehicle went up in flames, Hicks said. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash has not been released. 90 Cats Rescued From 'Deplorable' Dover Home
Police are investigating after 90 cats were in poor health and deplorable living conditions in a home in the region. Dutchess County Sheriff's Office members discovered the cats at a home in Dover on Saturday, May 4. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the home for a report of animal cruelty. Upon investigation, 90 cats were in poor health and were rescued by deputies and volunteer animal rescue workers. Police are asking for help in locating a 13-year-old girl from the region who has been missing for two days. Saratoga County resident Natalia Andrew, of Halfmoon, was last seen on Saturday, May 4, according to sheriff’s officials. Andrew is 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
