FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A cool and breezy day will kick off a week of mostly sunny weather in Fairfield County.
Monday will be sunny, with a high near 48, according to the National Weather Service. There will be a northwest wind of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Monday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 23.
It will still be seasonably cool on Tuesday, when the high will be near 49, with wind chill values between 25 and 25 early in the day. It will be sunny and less breezy. Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with a steady temperature around 44.
Temperatures will warm up to a high near 54 on Wednesday, which is expected to be sunny. Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 27.
There will be increasing clouds on Thursday, when the high will drop back down to 46. Thursday night will see a 50 percent chance of showers after midnight. Otherwise the night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 35.
Friday will see a 30 percent chance of showers. The rest of the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 51. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
