“This project, though to some may seem small, is huge for us,” Rabinowitz said in a press release. “It’s over a million dollars for a brand new roof, and our kids deserve this, and I know it’s part of a bigger project that’s going on throughout the city and making our schools wonderful refuges for all of our students.”

The repairs and renovations are projected to be finished by the end of the summer while the observatory dome will be finished sometime in December, weather permitting.

“The success of our kids is a priority here in the Park City,” Finch said in the press release. “We know that our school construction effort, the largest in Bridgeport’s history, will provide our children with the environment they need to learn. The roof replacement project at Bassick High School are just another example of the smart investments we’re making in our future.”

The $1.5 million roof replacement project at Bassick High School is yet another example of Finch’s school construction initiative, according to a press release. Once complete, this school construction program will have created more than 3,000 jobs in Bridgeport, according to a press release.
