Police received a complaint Monday, May 8, from the girls' mother. At 4:30 p.m., the mother called out her front door for her daughter to come home and saw her daughter running away from the nearby home where the teenage boy lives, police said.
The girl told her mother that the teen had grabbed her and pulled her inside, where he touched her inappropriately.
The mother immediately called the police, who responded with a child sexual assault forensic interviewer, who learned details of what happened.
According to police, the girl disclosed details about how she had been grabbed and pulled into the house. Investigators also learned of an earlier incident that had occurred between the two where the girl was subjected to similar sexual contact with the teen days earlier, police said.
Police obtained an arrest warrant, and on Friday the 15-year-old was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a minor, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree unlawful restraint, fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree threatening and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
The teen was remanded to the custody of the Juvenile Court, where he was detained.
On Tuesday, police were informed that the case had been transferred to the adult Superior Court of the Fairfield Judicial District for arraignment.
