BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Connecticut State Police from Troop G in Bridgeport and the Special Olympics teamed up to raise funds for the organization when the Bridgeport Sound Tigers took on the Albany Devils during a special game on Sunday, March 20.
Thousands of fans turned out for the event that offered special $20 tickets. The Sound Tigers didn't disappoint, beating the Devils 4 to 2.
Debbie Horne, director of Communications and Marketing for the Special Olympics, said $396 in ticket sales and donations were raised during the game.
In addition the game, State Police equipment and vehicles also were also on display.
