Between eight and 10 shots were fired in the area of the boardwalk just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, the Connecticut Post reported. A city spokesperson told the Connecticut Post that the male victim was shot as he was exiting the boardwalk and heading to the parking lot.
The male was treated for his non life-threatening injuries at St. Vincent's Medical Center shortly afterwards, the Connecticut Post said. He is believed to have been the only target of the shooting, according to the Connecticut Post.
Bridgeport detectives are investigating the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling (203) 576-TIPS, the Connecticut Post said.
