The memo is addressed to Police Chief Joseph Gaudett and takes aim at minority police officers, using statements such as "White Power," and saying that "black officers belong in the toilet," necn.com reported.

Detective Harold Dimbo, vice president of the Bridgeport Guardians, a minority officers' organization, said the "racial, insensitive and threatening" letter was the latest of three notes to circulate over the past year, necn.com said.

The letter also attacks officer Clive Higgins, who was acquitted of brutality charges that stemmed from a video showing officers beating a suspect in Beardsley Park, necn.com said.

Authorities believe the memo was generated by a member of the department, necn.com reported.
