Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to a Green Lane home shortly before 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, where there was a report of a verbal agreement between a man and woman. Police said that the man was reportedly attempting to break down the door to get in the residence.

According to police, when officers arrived, they found Greenwich resident Moniren Meas was in the driveway, standing over a broken key ring. He told officers that it had broken because the woman, now inside the house, had attempted to take it away from him.

The investigation into the incident determined that Meas got into an argument with the woman, and the two wrestled over the keys outside the home. She went on to return to the house, at which point Meas “loudly banged on the door in an attempt to be let in.”

Meas was arrested outside the home and charged with breach of peace. He’s being held by the Greenwich Police Department in lieu of $,1000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday.
