BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A man sleeping at a friend's house in Bridgeport was attacked with a bat and suffered broken bones, cuts and bruises Tuesday, Jan. 26, according to the Connecticut Post.
A woman who lives at the Evers Street home where the incident occurred had asked a male friend to get rid of the victim when he would not leave because she was worried for her daughter's safety, said the Connecticut Post.
The friend, identified as Neftali Lugo, than beat the man with the bat, police told the post. The victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, and Lugo, 24, was charged with assault, breach of peace and disorderly conduct, added the Connecticut Post.
