Gun-Wielding Customer Scares Off Bridgeport Robber

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport police are looking for a man who was prevented from robbing the Checkers convenience store Wednesday morning after a customer fired a weapon to scare him, according to the Connecticut Post.

The man, described as a tall, thin black man wearing all black, came into the store around 2 a.m. with a gun and another customer in the store fired a shot at him, police told the Connecticut Post.

After the customer fired the shot, the would-be-robber fled down Front Street, added the Connecticut Post.

The suspect, who had a bandana around his face, has not been located, said the Connecticut Post.
