Two people, including a Westchester man, were arrested in a pair of separate hit-and-run incidents involving pedestrians in Greenwich, police said.

The first incident took place on Friday when police responded to South Water Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a grey Acura sedan, said Greenwich PD Lt. David Nemecek.

When officers arrived they found that a person had struck a juvenile while he was backing in the roadway and then fled the scene, Nemecek.

The juvenile was not seriously injured, he said.

An investigation of video surveillance led officers to Jose Roberto Torres-Baustista, 34, of Port Chester, who was located and positively identified.

After speaking with police, Torres-Baustista admitted to hitting the juvenile, saying he left because he did not have a valid driver's license, Nemecek said.

He was arrested and charged with evading responsibility, driving without a license and unsafe backing and released on $260 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 29.

The second arrest took place on Sunday when Greenwich resident, Susan Corman, 49, turned herself in for an incident that took place on May 11 on Orchard Street in Cos Cob in which she struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk and then fled the scene, Nemecek said.

It was later discovered she had been drinking at the time of the incident, he added.

The pedestrian was not seriously injured.

Corman was charged with DWI, evading responsibility and failure to yield to a pedestrian. She was released on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 2.
