BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 34-year-old Bridgeport woman is facing assault charges after police say she bit off most of her boyfriend's left pinky finger during a domestic dispute in front of their 2-year-old daughter Monday in their Bridgeport home, according to the CT Post.
Regine Volcan was ordered held on $10,000 bond during an arraignment Tuesday, and ordered to have no contact with the victim. In addition to second-degree assault, charges include risk of injury to a child, the CT Post reports.
The 38-year-old victim was giving the couple's 2-year-old daughter a bath when the dispute erupted, and she punched him in the face before biting his finger, police said. Doctors were not able to reattach the finger, according to the CT Post.
