Authorities found Bernard Brandon, along with his girlfriend, hiding in the Bridgeport apartment of a disabled man, the CT Post reports.

Brandon, whose last known address was in Bridgeport, is facing murder and criminal possession of a firearm, among other charges, in the shooting death of Javoni Patton, the city's first homicide victim of 2016, the CT Post says. Patton died of gunshot wounds in what appears to be a robbery on the city's eastern edge.

Brandon's girlfriend, 38-year-old Ebony Curtis, was held on $20,000 bond on a hindering prosecution charge, the CT Post reports.
