BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Jeneen M. Smalls, 40, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Born in Bridgeport to Harold and Elder Viola Reid Smalls, she has been a resident of Bridgeport for nearly 20 years.
She served her country in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm and was honorably discharged.
She received a bachelor of science in criminal justice and was scheduled to complete her master's of science in marriage and family therapy.
She was a disciple of Triumphant Word Ministries and also served in a cancer support group at the United Congregational Church.
In addition to her parents, she leaves two sons, Tre' Anthony Allen and Jaylon T. Smalls; a daughter Destiny Amiya Smalls, all of Bridgeport; four brothers, William Andrews Jr., of California, Patrick Harshaw of Danbury, Mark Anthony Andrews of Michigan and Joseph Peoples of Bridgeport; three sisters, Theresa Johnson of Virginia, Angela Hooks of Bridgeport and Sheritha Jones of Waterbury; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to the viewing from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of Praise, 45 Gregory St., Bridgeport.
Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of Praise, with Pastor Nathan Polite officiating.
Interment will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery, MIddletown.
