Jaime Sarrantonio, 30, a native of Westbrook, and Bartley Teal, 33, of Nashville, were shot and killed on Friday, Aug. 17 by two men that are the subject of a huge manhunt by Nashville, Tenn., police.

According to Nashville police, officers throughout the city are on the lookout for a small late model Chevrolet car in which two murderers fled after fatally shooting two people in the parking lot of Cobra Bar, 2511 Gallatin Ave., at 3:26 a.m. Friday, said the Nashville Police.

Teal died during surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Sarrantonio died shortly after arriving at Skyline Medical Center. Two other robbery victims with Teal and Sarrantonio, a 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were not shot, police said.

The investigation shows that the four innocent victims left the bar on foot at approximately 3 a.m. and walked to a nearby convenience store to purchase snacks. Detectives believe the murderers, described as two black men, at least one of them with dreads, were randomly looking for robbery victims and targeted the four when they arrived back at the Cobra parking lot, police said.

Witnesses reported that the murderers demanded Teal’s belongings and shot him when he replied that he didn’t have anything. It is unclear why they killed Sarrantonio, police said.

Police believe the murders are connected to Tuesday, Aug. 14 fatal shooting of Kendall Rice, 31, who was killed during an apparent robbery while walking on Alta Loma Road to catch an MTA bus to go to work.

Anyone with information on the murderers or the small Chevrolet car is asked to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.

A call to Sarrantonio's family in Hartford, said they are not commenting at the moment.
