FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The fatal shooting of a teenage suspect in a stolen car by a Bridgeport police officer, the robbery of a Norwalk bank by a woman in a Walmart vest and President Donald Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey are among the top news stories in Fairfield County this past week.

Jayson Negron, a 15-year-old sophomore at Bunnell High School, was shot and killed by a Bridgeport police officer during a stolen car investigation, police said. The officer was identified as 30-year-old Patrolman James Boulay . State police are investigating the shooting, which occurred after Negron slammed a vehicle into an officer during a stolen car chase, police said. He died as a result of gunshot wounds to the torso and upper extremities, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Protesters took to the streets for a vigil for Negron who will be buried this week.

Norwalk Police are searching for a woman in a blue Walmart vest who robbed the First County Bank on Connecticut Avenue. She implied she had a gun, but no injuries were reported.

FBI Director James Comey, a Westport resident, was fired by President Donald Trump , sparking a political debate. Trump attacked Sen. Richard Blumenthal on Twitter after the senior senator from Connecticut compared the firing to Watergate.

After more than six decades in business, the Original Swanky Franks in Norwalk has closed . "They say that all good things must come to an end... the Renzuella/ Satterfield family have decided to close the doors of The Original Swanky Franks," says a post on the diner's Facebook page .

Singer/songwriter Cyndi Lauper has put the North Stamford home where she wrote five albums as well as the Tony Award-winning musical "Kinky Boots" on the market for $1.25 million .

Racist fliers were distributed in Westport that displayed a photo of a Nazi-commissioned sculpture from 1937 titled “Readiness” and the title "You Must Act Now." The fliers were found at about 12 homes in the North Avenue area, police said.

Two suspects were indicted on murder charges in connection with the stabbing death of Stamford's Joseph Comunale , 26, at a party in a Manhattan apartment on Nov. 13. His body was discovered the next day in a shallow grave in New Jersey.

Ridgefield police were investigating the death of a 22-year-old man who is suspected of overdosing on drugs . His bond was found in the driver's seat of a car parked in the lot on Danbury Road.

Fairfield police officers had a busy night at Crave after two assaults took place within four hours at the restaurant. In one incident, an employee was arrested after punching a customer in the face, after the victim tried to take food off the employee’s tray, which he then spilled on them, police said. In the other, a woman was arrested bumping into another customer and then hitting her in the face with a beer bottle, police said.
