BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport police and Sacred Heart University officials were investigating reports that a man secretly videotaped girls at a volleyball camp on campus, according to multiple media reports.
The girls told their parents that a man with a cellphone walked into the bathroom while they were showering, said NBC New York, which had interviews with some of the mothers.
Sacred Heart University said "steps have already been taken to remove the individuals who were allegedly involved pending further investigation. ... We take allegations of this kind extremely seriously," NBC New York said.
The Bridgeport police Youth Bureau was investigating after it was contacted Tuesday with a report of a possible peeping Tom, the Connecticut Post said.
The camp is held on the Bridgeport side of the campus, which is mostly located in Fairfield.
