Bridgeport Shooting Victim Dies After Being On Life Support

A Bridgeport teen shot in the head and on life support, died Wednesday night, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.

Eric Heard, 19, was shot around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at 28 Price St., police said.

Heard was initially reported to be dead, but police later said he was on life support.

Police said at this time the motive for the shooting is unclear and are asking anyone with information, to contact 203-581-5242 or call 203-576-TIPS.

His death marks the city’s second homicide of 2018.
