2-Year-Old Girl On Life Support After Being Pulled From Bridgeport Pool

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 2-year-old girl who was pulled from a pool at a Bridgeport home Friday afternoon was reportedly on life support at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Saturday, the Connecticut Post said.

The pool is at a residential home on May Street in the Chopsey Hill neighborhood in northern Bridgeport.

The mother removed the young girl from the pool and started CPR at about 2:30 p.m. Friday until emergency responders arrived, the Post said.

An initial police investigation characterized the incident as an accident, Police Chief A.J. Perez told the Post. 

The girl was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center and later sent by helicopter to Yale-New Haven Hospital, the Connecticut Post said.
