FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The weather is forecast to be mostly clear in Fairfield County this week, but there is a chance of snow hitting on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday afternoon is forecast to be mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Northwest winds will be around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Monday night will see a patchy frost after 5 a.m., but otherwise partly cloudy with a low around 34. Northwest winds will be between 6 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

On Tuesday there will be patchy frost before 8 a.m. Otherwise it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Wind chill values will be between 30 and 40 early, and northwest winds will be between 7 and 16 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low around 31.

Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 45. Northwest winds will be between 8 and 11 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

On Thursday there is a chance of snow showers before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain showers, according to the National Weather Service. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. The chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
