FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — After a lengthy heat wave followed by a number of cloudy, damp days, Fairfield County residents enjoyed perfect summer weather on Thursday and will again on Friday.

But be on the lookout for rain and possibly thunderstorms on Saturday.

The National Weather Service says temperatures will remain at about 80 degrees — a bit cool for this time of year – under clear sunny skies with very little humidity through Friday. Overnight temps will drop to about 60 degrees, making for perfect sleeping conditions.

But a passing cold front will bring a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms to the area Saturday, with high temperatures at a more normal level in the mid-80s.

What about Sunday and Monday? Should be picture perfect again — a repeat of Thursday.
