Bridgeport Postpones Friday Trash/Recycling Pickups Due To Snow

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Due to the impending snow storm, Bridgeport has postponed trash and recycling pickups from Friday to Saturday.

The Asylum Street transfer station will also be closed Friday, March 10, and will reopen from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 11.

The Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center is monitoring the approaching storm that is anticipated to bring snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches. Based on the forecast, snow and mix could impact the area as early as 10 p.m Thursday night and last up until 5 p.m. Friday.

The peak storm timing is 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. Friday.
