In response to a jury’s finding of a guilty verdict on all three counts against comedian Bill Cosby on Thursday, April 26, Wesleyan College President Michael Roth asked the Board of Trustees to revoke Cosby’s honorary degree, which the University awarded to him in 1987.

In his retrial, Cosby was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting women.

The Wesleyan Argus, the university’s student newspaper, tweeted the president’s decision shortly after Cosby's guilty verdict was announced.
