Honored were Katherine Schwab, Ph.D., professor of visual and performing arts since 1988, who received the Distinguished Faculty/Administrator Award; and Robert M. McMahon ’87, who received the Alumni Service Award. Both live in Fairfield.

Held at the Grand Hyatt in New York City, the event raised $1.07 million for The Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other scholarships awarded to students of diverse backgrounds and those who demonstrate financial need.

"This Awards Dinner is such an important milestone in our academic year, because in many ways, it reminds us all — as a community — that we are engaged in a great mission, a mission that has been passed on from generation to generation for almost 500 years,” said the university’s interim President Lynn Babington, Ph.D., RN. “That is the tradition of Jesuit education."
