Gas Leak Forces Students From Stratford's Second Hill Lane School

STRATFORD, Conn. — A gas leak forced the evacuation of students and staff from Second Hill Lane Elementary School in Stratford, according to multiple media reports.

Everyone was safely moved to the nearby Our Lady of Grace Church, and gas company crews and firefighters were at the school at 65 Second Hill Lane, according to NBC Connecticut.

The leak was reported after 9 a.m., and arrangements are underway to send the school's 700 students home, the Connecticut Post said.
