BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A former Bridgeport principal who was suspended in 2013 for dragging two kindergarten students through the halls of Tisdale School has been denied a teaching license by the state Board of Education, according to the Connecticut Post.
The board voted not to renew the teaching license of Carmen Perez-Dickson, who was suspended, not fired, by a divided Bridgeport school board in 2013. She retired shortly after and in 2014 applied to renew her teaching certificate, said the Connecticut Post.
Perez-Dickson, who was caught on video tape dragging the children, said she plans to appeal the decision, added the Connecticut Post.
