BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Nearly two dozen service-minded Fairfield Rotarians participated in the 31st annual Read Aloud Day at Bridgeport’s Columbus School on Thursday.
Read Aloud Day demonstrates to schoolchildren that area business leaders and Rotarian volunteers value both the children and reading.
World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens and adults to celebrate the power of words. With the help of the Fairfield Rotary Club, as well as several other civic-minded groups in the area and around the world, the campaign aims to mobilize children and adults to effect change by creating a new generation of leaders, storytellers and academic achievers.
