Counseling Available At Harding, Bassick High Schools Following Slaying

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Counseling for students or residents in need following the slaying of Luis Colon, 14, on Christmas Eve, will be available Monday and Tuesday at Harding and Bassick high schools in Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Post.

Colon, a resident of Wood Avenue and a student at nearby Bassick High, was shot in the chest and died at St. Vincent's Medical Center, the Post said.

Police said Colon was killed by Michael Majors, 23, also of State Street, after he fired into a group of men standing in front of a barbershop. Police added that the teen was an innocent bystander, the Post reported.
