BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Interim Superintendent of Bridgeport Schools Fran Rabinowitz will resign at the end of this year, according to the Connecticut Post.
Rabinowitz announced her resignation, effective Dec. 31, 2016, in a letter board to chairman Dennis Bradley, citing dissent from school board member Maria Pereira, according to the Connecticut Post.
Pereira responded by thanking the interim superintendent for her work despite having called for Rabinowitz to resign several times in the past, according to the Connecticut Post.
The resignation comes on the heels of four board members announcing they will boycott meetings until Pereira resigns, according to the Connecticut Post.
