BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Members of Make the Road Connecticut and its allies will testify Tuesday evening in favor of a resolution to make Bridgeport schools a safe place for all students.

On the heels of a City Council hearing where a strong resolution was introduced asking for protections for our immigrant and refugee communities, Make the Road CT members are now headed to the Board of Education where another resolution is up for a vote to make Bridgeport schools a safe place for all students.

The actions are part of Make the Road CT’s citywide efforts to push policies that protect all immigrants.

Related story: Make the Road Connecticut members and allies will rally at City Hall again on Monday evening in favor of making Bridgeport a sanctuary city.

Participants will be immigrant parents and community members from Make the Road CT and CT Student for a Dream.

The rally is from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bridgeport City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, Bridgeport.
