Ganim Inauguration Moves Indoors To Bridgeport's Klein Auditorium

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Due to an inclement weather forecast, the inauguration ceremony for all Bridgeport elected officials on Tuesday has been moved to inside to Klein Memorial Auditorium.

The Inauguration ceremony begins at 6 p.m. with a reception immediately following at City Hall Annex on Broad Street. Reserved, limited seating will be provided to elected officials, person administering the oath of office and family members.

Joseph Ganim will be sworn in as mayor of Bridgeport. Ganim beat current Mayor Bill Finch in the Democratic primary in September. He previously served three terms, but was convicted of federal corruption and bribery charges, resigned and served seven years in prison.

Parking for the ceremony at Klein Memorial Auditorium is available across the street or on the west side of the building for handicap accessibility.
