“I was thrilled to present Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders and the McGivney Center with an appropriation to further enhance the phenomenal work they do with our kids. We will continue supporting organizations that work to get kids off the streets and into a positive environment. We are proud to represent Connecticut House Democrats in the Legislature,” Rosario said in a press release.

The McGivney Community Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 by a group of concerned businessmen and community leaders. The Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders mission is to provide youth with diverse sports, educational and community awareness programs that foster physical, intellectual and social development, while instilling pride and helping them build character and self-esteem so they can reach their full potential and value their role in society, according to a press release.
