Michael White, 28, of Birch Lane, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 13.

Around 3:20 p.m., officers responding to the crash found White, who had “extremely constricted pupils,” barely visibly unsteady on his feet, police said. While police talked to him he began to close his eyes and drop his head and admitted to having needles in the car, police said.

Officer David Scinto and K-9 Atlas searched the car’s interior, finding two small bags of cocaine in the driver’s inside door handle, police said.

They also found a pill bottle filled with seven bags of heroin and three suboxone packets in the driver’s door, two metal spoons with a brown residue on them in the back seat and a backpack with needles in the trunk, police said.
