George Wilson was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, after an officer saw him behind the wheel of the Mercedes while driving south on Myrtle Avenue, according to police.

After the officer stopped the vehicle, he determined that Wilson's driver's license had been suspended and he was wanted on a State Police warrant for failing to appear in court, police said. The 27-year-old was taken into custody at the scene, police said.

Wilson was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle, driving with no vehicle insurance, operating a vehicle under suspension, misuse of license plates and second-degree failure to appear, according to police.

Wilson was released after posting $7,500 bond. He is to appear in court on Feb. 21, police said.
