Two Bridgeport Teens Facing Charges In Stamford Robbery

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two 17-year-old Bridgeport residents were arrested Wednesday in connection with the Jan. 29 armed robbery of a teen in Stamford, police said.

One of the teens was arrested Wednesday morning at the school in Stamford he attends while the second was arrested that afternoon following a short foot pursuit by Bridgeport Police, said Stamford Police Lt. Thomas Barcello.

The two are accused of robbing a teenager at gunpoint around 11 p.m. on Stillwater Avenue. They were able to escape with a small amount of cash and an iPhone. Neither the weapon nor the iPhone have been recovered, Barcello said.

The teens are each charged with one count each of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

They are being held at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.

Their names were not released due to their age.
