Trumbull Man Charged In Fatal Crash In 2016

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A 40-year-old man was charged in connection with a fatal crash in Trumbull last December, according to the Trumbull Times.

The accident took place on Dec. 18, 2016 at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Walnut Avenue, the Trumbull Times reported. Richard Abriola, 58, was riding his scooter when he was hit by a car driven by 40-year-old Rafi Altan, the Trumbull Times reported.

Abriola was killed in the accident and after an investigation police issued a warrant for Altan, according to the Trumbull Times. Altan turned himself in on Dec. 7 and was charged with negligent homicide with a vehicle and failure to obey a stop sign, the Trumbull Times reported.
