Tyriek Gantt, 19, of 142 Connecticut Ave., was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree assault and second-degree larceny, Lt. Thomas Matera said. Police had two arrest warrants for him in court. One was for the Jan. 14 robbery of a Chinese food delivery driver on Derby Road who was shot and the second for the Jan. 9 robbery of another delivery driver on Rolling Lane, police said.

"We expect more arrests in both cases," Matera said.

Gantt's bond has been set at $500,000, and he will be arraigned in Norwalk court Friday.

Norwalk Police arrested a Stamford man Thursday in connection with the Jan. 9 robbery. Jaiden Parker, 20, of 145 Montauk Drive, was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and one count of second-degree larceny. HIs bond had been set at $250,000.

Matera praised the work of Norwalk Detectives Daniel Fitzmaurice and Tom Podgorski and the close cooperation with Stamford and Bridgeport Police Departments in the investigation.

Gantt, 19, was arrested by Stamford Police on Jan. 28 on charges of arson, second-degree conspiracy to commit arson and second-degree larceny. That was in connection with the torching of a red Subaru Forrester on Jan. 14 in Stamford that had been stolen from a Bridgeport pizza delivery driver on Jan. 8. The delivery driver told police the suspects also stole his money, cellphone and pizza.

That vehicle is also suspected to have been used in the Jan. 14 armed robbery of a Chinese food delivery driver in Norwalk who was shot twice and robbed of his 2011 black Toyota Camry, police said. Soon after that robbery, both vehicles were recorded at a gas station at Exit 6 off I-95 in Stamford, Capt. Richard Conklin said in January.

On the surveillance video, Gantt is “seen pumping gas into the back seat of the Subaru Forrester," at about 8 p.m., Conklin said. A short time later, the car was discovered burning nearby at Oakwood Place, he said.

Assistant Fire Marshal Antonio Forte discovered the video evidence, Conklin said.

Gantt has been arrested in Bridgeport after Stamford Police told Bridgeport Police they had information he would be at a specific address there.

Conklin said Gantt is also facing charges in connection with a Sept. 6 foot pursuit in which he dropped a loaded gun. Gantt managed to evade police at that time but was later arrested in Manhattan, Conklin said.
