STRATFORD, Conn. -- A real estate agent from Stratford accused of breaking into a home on Christmas Eve and stealing antiques was sentenced to probation, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Connecticut Post reported that 49-year-old John Rose Jr. will receive two years' probation under accelerated rehabilitation, meaning that if he does not commit any other crimes, the charges against him will be dropped.
Rose had been charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglar tools after he and another man were caught while breaking into a home on Lordship Road, the Connecticut Post reported. Neighbors had called police after seeing two men with large sacks in the home of a person who had recently died, according to the Connecticut Post.
The two were nabbed as they were about to leave, and found with antique dolls and picture frames, as well as burglar tools, according to the Connecticut Post.
