EMT Michael Egan and Paramedic Steve Parise responded to a "maternity 911 call for a woman in labor," according to a Facebook post from Stratford EMS.

While EMS Unit 805 was enroute to the emergency department with the mother, they delivered a baby in the ambulance without complications, said the Facebook post.

"Both mom and baby were transported safely and successfully to the hospital for further care," the Facebook post said.

It's a boy! And no word yet on a name. "Nice job!" Stratford EMS said on Facebook.

Eagan and Parise received blue stork pins for the successful delivery of a baby boy in the field.
