Colleen Daly of 132 Spring Glen was charged with fifth-degree larceny, risk of injury and interfering with arrest.

Police were called to the Macy's in the Connecticut Post Mall at 1201 Boston Post Road on a report of a shoplifter in custody.

Daly concealed $518 worth of items in her daughter's toy stroller as she left the store without paying, police said.

Further investigation determined that Daly gave officers at the scene a false name — Michele Daly — in an attempt to conceal her identity because there was an active warrant for her arrest, police said.

Daly is also accused of failing to appear in court Dec. 9, stemming from a larceny arrest in Shelton on Sept. 12, police said. She was also charged with second-degree failure to appear in that case.

He bond was set at $500 with court appearances on April 4 and April 18.
