Second Victim Identified In Bridgeport Shooting

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A second victim was wounded as part of a shooting that took place Tuesday on Washington Avenue near the corner of Highland Avenue, Bridgeport police said.

The second victim, a 27-year-old male, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his legs. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle where is listed in stable condition, police said.

The unidentified male is believed to be part of a shooting that occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Washington Avenue. When police arrived at the location following the shooting, they found one victim, a 22-year-old male, suffering from one gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in an ambulance where he is listed in stable condition, police said.

Detectives are actively investigating the incident and following up on reports of three hooded males as being involved with the shooting. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Bridgeport Police Department at 203-581-5201.
