Taylah Lucido, 21, of Shelton was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of a hallucinogen. Sonny Wade, 32, of New Haven was charged with interfering with police. Xavier Longwa, 25, of Bridgeport was charged with interfering with police engaging police in pursuit, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to appear in court.

Lucido and Wade were each held on $5,000 bond, and Longwa was held on $6,500 bond. All three will appear in court Oct. 2.

The three were stopped in a car along with a fourth passenger on Post Road West at about 5:45 p.m. Monday by Westport Officer Kevin Smith, according to police reports. While Smith discovered narcotics on Lucido outside the car, the driver, Longwa, took off westbound with Wade and another passenger, police said. Smith pursued the car while another officer stayed with Lucido, according to police.

The pursuit continued into Norwalk, where the three occupants ran from the car in the area of Seaview Avenue, police said.

Westport and Norwalk officers set up a perimeter and used K9 units to search the area. One was found in the water in the nearby marina and another was found hiding under a motorcycle tarp on Betts Place, according to police. The third suspect has not yet been located, police said.

Wade and Longwa were treated for minor injuries at Norwalk Hospital before being charged, police said.

An arrest warrant for Longwa was found on a charge of failure to appear in court stemming from a previous arrest by state police, according to police reports.
