Police Identify Victim Of Fatal Shooting As 28-Year-Old Bridgeport Man

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The victim of Bridgeport’s first homicide of the year was identified Friday as Javoni Patton, 28, of Elizabeth Street in Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Post.

Patton was shot several times, including once in the chest, at 8:40 p.m. Thursday at Stratford and Connecticut avenues in the city's East End, the Post said. He was found in the road, with his car nearby, with the driver’s door open and personal items scattered, the Post said.

He was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital. The shooting occurred near the Stratford border.
