Police: Bridgeport Woman Busted With Stun Gun In Car's Glove Box

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 33-year-old Bridgeport woman was caught with a stun gun in her glove box when she was stopped for a traffic violation, Milford police said.

The arrest came at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, when an officer stopped a car driven by Lachelle Britt on the Boston Post Road at Woodruff Road in Milford for a moving violation, police said.  

Officers found a sun gun in her glove box and determined that she was driving on a suspended license, police said. 

Britt was charged with failure to obey a traffic signal, operating under a suspended license and weapon in a motor vehicle, police said. 

She was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 29.
