BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Police on Thursday arrested a man they say lured another man out of his home July 2, then fatally shot him from a neighboring yard.
The Fugitive Task Force arrested Richard Evans, 37, of Dogwood Drive, and charged him with murder, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit, police said.
He was held on $1 million bond.
Evidence shows Evans lured Reginald May, 44, from his Alice Street apartment by setting off a car alarm, police said. When May came out to investigate, Evans opened fire on him from another yard, police said.
“Great work by all that worked on the case led by Detective (Martin) Heanue,” said Police Lt. Christopher LaMaine.
