BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Two men have been arrested and charged in a September homicide that occurred during a heroin deal, Bridgeport police announced Saturday.

Mohamad Rahim, 24, of Ansonia and Jeremy Bratz, 25, of Stratford are both charged with felony murder and robbery. Each was held on $1 million bond.

According to Bridgeport police, the suspects approached victim Duhaney Watson at a gas station near Main Street and North Avenue at about 3 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, to buy heroin from Watson.

To complete the sale, all three got a car to drive to Watson’s home at 159 Charles St., where Rahim pulled a gun on Watson and demanded the drugs, police said.

When Watson refused, Rahim shot him in the face,  took an estimated $700 worth of heroin, ran out of the house, and got into the vehicle with Bratz, police said.

They drove to Ansonia, where they ditched the vehicle and had Rahim’s girlfriend -- Cheryl Crencki -- report the car stolen, police said.

Rahim and Bratz have each admitted their roles in the crime, police said.

At 8:20 a.m. Sept. 27, firefighters and medical personnel responded to a call near Charles Street and Main Street and found Watson, who was dead from a gunshot wound, police said.
