Man Shot To Death In Bridgeport's 10th Homicide Of The Year

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A man in his 20s was shot to death late Tuesday in Bridgeport's 10th homicide of the year, the Connecticut Post reported. 

The fatal shooting occurred on Read Street in Bridgeport, which is on the city's west side.

The fatal shooting of the man occurred in a silver Hyundai on Read Street, and police remained on the scene Wednesday morning to investigate, the Post said.  

The 10 homicides so far in 2017 equals the same number that occurred last year in Bridgeport.

It was the third homicide in the past week in the city. 

On Sunday, a man was stabbed to death by a married couple in their 50s at the Fairbridge Commons housing complex in Bridgeport, police said. They said they acted in self-defense, but police said the incident was part of an ongoing dispute.

Last Tuesday, April 24, the death of a 10-month-old boy found unresponsive at the Greene Homes housing complex was classified as a homicide, police said.
