The shooting took place in the area of Colorado Avenue and Maplewood Avenue at around 11 p.m., the Connecticut Post reported. The man's head was grazed by a bullet, while a 5-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet in the hand, according to the Connecticut Post.
Neither person was the intended target, police told the Connecticut Post, but were instead hit by stray bullets. The man was able to talk to EMTs, even though he was hit in the head, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Connecticut Post.
